LARC Announces Fore the Future Youth Golf Challenge

  • When: Saturday, October 25, 2025,  8:30 am -  1:00 pm
  • Location: 8851 Crown Colony Blvd. Fort Myer, FL 33908
  • Cost: $250

LARC (Lee Association for Remarkable Citizens), a nonprofit organization that empowers individuals with intellectual and developmental disabilities through vocational training, residential support, and inclusive community services, is proud to launch the Fore the Future Youth Golf Challenge—a one-of-a-kind fundraising event just for kids and teens in grades 1–12. This exciting day of fun, mentorship, and prizes.
This is Southwest Florida’s first youth golf fundraiser of its kind, created to bring together elementary, middle, and high school students of all skill levels—from beginners to future champions—for a meaningful cause. Golfers will participate in fun on-course challenges and enjoy an awards ceremony and great prizes.
“Whether you’re new to golf or already mastering your swing, the LARC Youth Golf Challenge is your chance to be part of something meaningful,” said Angela Katz, LARC Executive Director. “By raising funds, kids are helping people with intellectual and developmental disabilities learn life skills, find jobs, and live more independently. They will also be role models—showing the community the power of inclusion, kindness, and youth leadership. All skill levels are welcome, and it’s not just about winning—it’s about giving your best, having fun, and making a difference. So grab your clubs and join us—you’ll be swinging for a cause that truly matters.”
To participate, each golfer is asked to raise a minimum of $250, which directly supports LARC’s programs for individuals with intellectual and developmental disabilities. The top three fundraisers receive amazing prizes and a hole-in-one challenge will feature a magical Disney vacation for four.
Raising $250 is easier than you think! Kids can ask 10 people to donate $25 or 25 people to give $10—or mix it up. Other creative ideas can be found on LARC’s website www.larcleecounty.orgi including a Sponsor-Per-Hole Challenge, where friends and family pledge a donation for each hole played (for example, $10 per hole for 9 holes = $90); a Collect Change Campaign, using a decorated jar to collect spare change; or asking for donations in lieu of birthday or holiday gifts. Participants can also raise funds by offering chore services—like mowing lawns, raking leaves, walking dogs, or washing cars. With a parent’s help, kids can also post a short fundraising video on social media explaining their goal and including a donation link.
Be part of something meaningful. Sign up, start fundraising, and swing FORE a more inclusive future!
